As the two parties inch forward on talks, trade associations are actively opposing some spending cuts, fees and funding limits With Democrats and Republicans still unable to agree on next years budget, Congress passed another stopgap measure this week, one that will keep the government running at current year funding levels until April 8. Meanwhile, associations are staking out their positions, which in many cases means advocating against certain budget proposals that are currently included in the Obama administrations proposed FY 2012 budget.
